Haunted Dance Raises Money for Child in Need

On Saturday, October 7, 2017, International Club took over BSU to have their semi-annual charity fundraiser. All profit from this event is donated to Child Fund International and a young child that International Club chose to sponsor, Kemboi. In 2017, the service chair, Phuong Duong, organized a wildly successful Halloween-themed dance called “Haunted Dance”.¬† The first lucky participants were given masquerade masks to wear throughout the night to support the mysterious atmosphere. Partygoers were also provided with light refreshments such as “mummy dogs” (pigs in a blanket) or “brains” made of Rice Krispy¬†treats.

The total profit for this event that will be donated to Child Find International is $151.41.

International Club wishes to extend sincere thanks to everyone who attended this event; not only did this help a child in need, it helped to further community on the campus of Truman State University.
