International Club has officially presented the theme for one of the biggest cultural events held on Truman State’s campus. International Club Prepares for Spring Semester

With a new year comes a new round of people and events for International Club.  To the executive committee, two treasured members left and three were gained. International Club is glad to welcome Dravid Paiva as service chair, Mansi Trivedi as social chair, and Maru Genya as treasurer’s assistant (a temporary position for the spring of 2018). International Idol 2017 is Underway!

It’s time again for International Club’s biannual event, International Idol! This event is a mostly team-based competition of talent that playfully pits different countries against each other to decide who has the most talented students here at Truman representing their country! Haunted Dance Raises Money for Child in Need

On Saturday, October 7, 2017, International Club took over BSU to have their semi-annual charity fundraiser. All profit from this event is donated to Child Fund International and a young child that International Club chose to sponsor, Kemboi. In 2017, the service chair, Phuong Duong, organized a wildly successful Halloween-themed dance called “Haunted Dance”.  The first lucky participants were given masquerade masks to wear throughout the night to support the mysterious atmosphere. Partygoers were also provided with light refreshments such as “mummy dogs” (pigs in a blanket) or “brains” made of Rice Krispy treats. The total profit for this event that …
